The new California milk: California may have its first milk shortage in years

The milk shortage in California hit its peak last summer. But this fall, there will be a second drought.

The first California milk shortage was two years long, and ended when the milk market got big. But this time, the drought will last longer — and the market will get smaller.

A large portion of California’s 2.4 million dairy farms lost money in the 2010-11 milk crisis, but those farms are no longer profitable, and now have to sell off their cows.

In fact, the supply of milk in California has increased since the market took off, and the demand for dairy milk has also increased. So the question is now, is there enough milk to drink?

California dairy farms that are not losing money have been sold from one buyer to another.

The first of these to come in was the Texas-based H-E-B, which purchased the Dairy Cow Research Center and Dairy Science Laboratory in Emory, Oklahoma.

It is the world’s largest dairy chain with nearly 60 locations and more than 11,000 locations in the United States.

Dairy farmers in California have sold their milk-producing cows to these Texas dairy farms, the New York Times reported.

In June, California milk production fell to a record below the level of a year ago.
